Two years after The Art of Meditation, a conference given in 2017 at the Théâtre de l'Odyssée, in Périgueux, Matthieu Ricard returns to give a conference for the benefit of the association La Maison 24, at the Palio de Boulazac, on Saturday October 26, 2019 at 20 hours.

For this conference entitled “Freedom is ours! “, Matthieu Ricard is accompanied by the philosopher Alexandre Jollien, with whom he wrote the books “Three friends in search of wisdom” and, precisely, “To us freedom! (with psychiatrist Christophe André). Matthieu Ricard wanted to offer the benefits of this conference to Maison 24 because of the friendship that binds him to the founding volunteers of the association. La Maison 24 is a food aid association that has been distributing meals and parcels to the most disadvantaged in Périgueux and Plazac since 2013.

The theme :

How can we progress towards inner freedom, the one that allows us to calmly approach the ups and downs of existence and to free ourselves from the causes of suffering? From childhood, we are hampered by fears, prejudices and a thousand and one conditionings that prevent us from being happy. Embarking on the adventure of inner freedom means undoing all these bars one by one, those that we have forged ourselves and those that the society of performance, consumption and competition imposes on us.
