Science & Wisdom LIVE, a project of the Jamyang Buddhist Center in London, has announced the launch of a new online learning programme, Buddhism and Quantum Physics. This online course focuses on the intersection between Buddhist philosophy and science as a way to analyze the mind and investigate the nature of reality and self.
“Every human being searches for meaning in this complex universe,” Science & Wisdom LIVE said in an announcement shared with BDG. “Buddhism and quantum physics. . . offers a key to unlocking some of the mysteries of reality, while expanding consciousness, building community, and cultivating wisdom. Those who are curious about the complex nature of reality, quantum phenomena and human consciousness are encouraged to join this interactive online course for an unforgettable learning journey.
The course aims to help students develop a deeper understanding of the interconnections between science and spirituality by investigating the nature of reality, mind, and self. Results include helping practitioners deepen and enrich their meditation practice, thereby improving mindfulness and well-being.
“Buddhism and Quantum Physics are led by Professor Carlo Rovelli, Geshe Tenzin Namdak, Professor Michel Bitbol and Professor John Dunne, all esteemed experts in their respective scientific and contemplative fields,” explained Science & Wisdom LIVE. “These teachers will guide students step-by-step through a comprehensive curriculum including video lectures, dialogues, articles, Buddhist texts, lecture notes, self-assessment tools and meditation practices. »
Buddhism and quantum physics are open to all prospective students; no prior knowledge of Buddhism or quantum physics is necessary. The course guides the student through a wide range of deep principles, theories and practical applications, divided into six modules: A Beginner's Guide to Quantum Mechanics; Metaphysics, Buddhism and quantum physics; Reality and nature of the mind; From Nagarjuna to Heisenberg and back; Mind, matter and quantum physics; and How Things Exist – Meditation Workshop.
"Buddhism and quantum physics were designed to be accessible to everyone," Science & Wisdom LIVE noted. “The program is very engaging, understandable (without jargon or too technical terms) and applicable to everyday life, the videos are captioned and transcripts are provided. Plus, participants can take this course at their own pace, with one year of full, unlimited online access. This way, students can really enjoy the learning experience, without the pressure of deadlines.
