Cultivate the present moment

I often read that we must be present to what is happening in the moment. But I don't understand how I can be focused on my work, very manual, I'm a farmer, and be so aware of what's going on in my mind.

Doctor Dinh Hy Trinh: When you are focused on your work and only the present occupies your mind (eg your field, your vegetables, your tractor, etc.), you are present. On the other hand, while going about the same occupation, if you start thinking about something else, wandering mentally (for example on a hunting trip, your children, your taxes, etc.), then you are no longer present.

Obviously, we cannot be present all the time and it is natural for the mind to wander from time to time. But you have to try to control your attention and be present as much as possible. This is it mindfulness, mindfulness.
