The Tergar Meditation Community, founded by revered Dharma teacher and master of the Karma Kagyu and Nyingma lineages of Tibetan Buddhism Yongey Mingyur Rinpoche, has announced that the renowned Tibetan tulku and Dzogchen meditation master Ponlop Rinpoche will give a live teaching on May 19 on the theme “Mahamudra: Transforming Obstacles into Opportunities.”

“The path of Mahamudra is a profound way of transforming obstacles into opportunities,” Tergar explained in an announcement shared with BDG. “As Mahamudra practitioners, we begin to understand that the antidote or solution to our obstacles is found in the obstacles themselves – nowhere else. This leads to a deep sense of openness and confidence in our ability to remain unfazed in the face of life's challenges. At this event, Dzogchen Ponlop Rinpoche will explain how obstacles in life and the meditator's journey can become opportunities for awakening and how the freedom we seek is already present in our hearts and minds.

The event will feature live teaching from Dzogchen Ponlop Rinpoche, including a Q&A session, which will encompass the practice of Mahamudra as a path to finding inner freedom, how our obstacles represent opportunities for awakening, and how to deepen our own meditation practice.

“Do you want to find a long-term solution to the obstacles in your life? Do you want to find freedom in your heart and mind? If so, we invite you to join us in this teaching from the revered Dzogchen lineage holder Ponlop Rinpoche,” Tergar noted. (Tergar)
