The spirit of the plant

Dear Rinpoche,
In these times of confinement, I take the time to observe the things around me, especially the plants in my apartment. It is possible to grow several plants from a single plant (by planting a piece of branch for example), hence this question: can the spirit of the first plant be divided?

Venerable Dagpo Rinpoche: In Buddhism, plants are not considered to have a spirit. So I don't have an answer for you.
