– In matters of ethics, one can try to apply the Five Precepts in daily life; always bear in mind the consequences of one's thoughts, words and actions; distinguish what leads to good, positive things from what leads to bad, negative things, always with lucidity, responsibility and self-control.
– In terms of mental training, you can practice true attention, “mindfulness” as much as possible: during meditation sessions, alone or in a group, for ten to thirty minutes, at least two or three times a week . And especially in everyday activities, walking, eating, doing sports, cooking, cleaning, gardening, etc., always try to pay attention to what we perceive, to what we done in the present.
The Buddhist philosophy being at the same time an ethic, a mental training and a holistic approach, that is to say giving a global vision of the world, it can be applied by everyone in daily life.
– Finally, try to develop a global, lucid and serene vision of the world. Avoid locking yourself in your ivory tower, open up to people further away from us, considering them with empathy and compassion, and deeply love nature, respecting it, protecting it.
